Cargo transport users discuss how to improve the Investment Partnership Program (PPI)

The Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove) supports the 1st National Meeting of Cargo Transport Users, which takes place on November 8th, in Brasília, in the auditorium of the Brazilian Agriculture and Livestock Confederation (CNA.

The Investment Partnership Program (PPI) was created by Law No. 13,334/2016. The objective of the 1st Meeting is to discuss measures aimed at improving the PPI and meeting the demands of the productive sector.

After the rounds of debates and approval of the proposals presented, the User Contribution Letter will be delivered to the government authorities present. The document will defend actions to make users' activities more competitive. The 1st Meeting will bring together entities representing the agricultural sector and cargo transport users. They were motivated by the federal government's actions to resume economic growth, including the boost in private investments in transport infrastructure.

The event will discuss the following topics: evaluations and perspectives of Brazilian logistics; physical and regulatory bottlenecks; new logistics matrix; models and priorities for investment partnerships.

Abiove's economics manager, Daniel Furlan Amaral, will be the moderator of panel 2, on logistics and Brazilian competitiveness. In this panel, Roberto Queiroga, from the Brazilian Cereal Companies Association (Acebra), Frederico Bussinger, from Katalisys, and Paulo Villa, from the Port Users Association (Usuport), will make presentations.

The first panel will focus on the topic: what do users of Brazilian logistics want? Speaking at this part of the event will be Luiz Henrique Baldez, from the National Association of Cargo Transport Users (Anut), Luiz Antonio Fayet, from CNA, and Bernardo Figueiredo, former director-president of the National Land Transport Agency (ANTT).

Registration to participate in the event can be made by email at anut@anut.org.br, or by telephone (21) 2532-0503.
