Wheat operates at a low in the USA this Monday

On Friday (20), the cereal spot advanced 0.95% on CBOT and 1.92% on KCBT.

At 8:18 am (Brasília time) this Monday (23), the March wheat contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange (CBOT) registered a moderate drop of 6.00 points and 0.81%, traded at US$ cents 735.50/bushel; in Kansas City (KCBT) retracts 8.75 points and 1.03%, at US$ cents 839.25/bushel.

On Friday (20), the cereal spot advanced 0.95% on CBOT and 1.92% on KCBT. Cereal prices were supported by export sales records for the week ending December 12, reported by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), which show that the US sold 473 thousand tons of wheat for the 2022/23 harvest, amounting to 420% higher than that sold in the previous week and 78.5% above the weekly average to reach the estimated total of 21.092 million tons.

This morning, favorable weather reverberated in Argentina, with heavy rains this weekend that alleviated the drought that was punishing crops.
