According to TF Agroeconomic, the wheat market started yesterday with prices around R$ 1,390.00 FOB, R$ 1,450.00 CIF, but after the fall of the dollar, the mills were absent. “But, it still keeps one eye on the feed market and another on exports. With the fall of the dollar, export competition has eased and feed factories are not showing signs of buying wheat, preferring to source from Mato Grosso do Sul, where corn arrives at competitive prices, so they are not yet focusing on wheat”, he comments.
In Santa Catarina, the price range of offers narrows in the state. “Producer prices in the state fell to a maximum of R$ 83.00/bag (R$ 1,384.00), against the previous maximum of R$ 85.00 (R$ 1,417.00/t) and rose to a minimum of R$ 78.00 /bag (R$ 1,300.00/t), prices that are still too high to be passed on to the batch market, only understood because they are practiced by cooperatives that have a mill or mills that have their own warehouse”, he adds.

In Paraná, we had first deals at R$ 1,380.00, with sellers at R$ 1,400.00. “Buyer idea at R$ 1,350.00 wheat placed in Ponta Grossa for delivery in November 2020 continued this Tuesday, but there have already been a few deals at R$ 1,380.00 FOB”, he indicates.
“Sellers are still positioning themselves at R$ 1,400.00 FOB, nothing more than that, because there is no short-term chance of higher levels. Curitiba post buyer continues reporting R$ 1,380.00 CIF. Imported quoted at R$ 1,500.00 FOB Paranaguá. 99% of wheat in the state has already been harvested, which means that more than 3.2 million tons have already passed through the warehouses, of which we estimate that 45% have already been sold”, he concludes.
