The possibility of sudden drops in temperature this week and in the first half of August have left agents on alert regarding the impact on wheat crops in Brazil. According to information from Cepea, even though the crop is less vulnerable to low temperatures, especially in the initial and intermediate stages of development, many areas were affected by frosts seen in previous periods. In this scenario, cereal prices continue to rise in the over-the-counter and available markets. As for derivatives, wheat bran negotiations remain strong, influenced by greater demand. In the flour market, on the other hand, demand is considered low; however, some mills, in an attempt to pass on costs, raise prices.
