The day before, prices followed the rise of more than 5% in wheat, which led to soybeans, derivatives and corn

Soybean futures contracts are trading lower this Thursday (04) on the New York Stock Exchange (CBOT). Around 1 pm (Brasília time), oilseed futures lost between 6.4 and 12 points in the main maturities, leading July/23 to operate at US$ 14.08 per bushel. August/23 has been quoted at US$ 13.50.

After the reaction the day before, following the increase of more than 5% in wheat, which in addition to soybeans, also pulled derivatives and corn, the CBOT market is once again working in the red with profit taking. Prices also continue to be pressured by the combination of fundamentals and the financial market, which has had a week of greater risk aversion.

Yesterday (03), the United States announced a 0.25 percentage point increase in interest rates.

In fundamentals, the attention is on the favorable climate in the United States and the favorable conditions for the advancement of planting in the country. According to the latest figures from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture), soybean sowing reached 19% of the area as of last Sunday, surpassing the same period last year and the multi-year average.
