The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 4.75 cents in the March/17 contract on Monday (13.02), closing at US$ 10.5425 per bushel. The May/17 contract fell by 4.25 Dollar cents, while the July/17 contract depreciated by 4.00 Dollar cents.
The North American soybean market opened the week returning the gains recorded in the main futures prices at the beginning of the week. Investment funds decided to liquidate positions and take profits after a slight appreciation at the beginning of yesterday's session – caused by positive export numbers.
