In the report, our sunflower and canola oil specialist, Laura Pereira, talks about the scenario for the 2020/2021 sunflower harvest and prospects.
“Since harvesting began in September/October 2020, Black Sea producers have been counting on high volatility and higher prices on a daily basis. In the last quarter, prices remained between USD 1,130 to USD 1,160 FOB. However, we had strategic customers, who took advantage of the low days, late November and early December, to make their purchases, achieving prices below USD 1,200 CFR.”
