Brazilian harvest puts pressure on corn in the USA – Agrolink Analysis

The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 2.50 cents in May/17 contracts on Tuesday (07.03), closing at US$ 3.76 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions on the CBOT closed the session with devaluations between 2.00 and 3.25 points.

The North American corn market had another day of losses in the main futures prices, pressured by the confirmation of a full harvest in South America – especially in Brazil. As a result, investors took the opportunity to sell positions before the new supply and demand report from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).
