Brazil's participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2024, in Shanghai, concluded successfully on November 10. Firstly, the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil), strategically organized this action. Thus, it was possible to include a broad program to strengthen the company's presence. animal protein Brazilian presence in the Chinese market, promoting the quality and sustainability of Brazilian poultry and pork products.

Furthermore, representing ABPA, Nayara Dalmolin highlighted the strong interest shown by Chinese importers and local leaders during the event. The ABPA team then distributed informative materials on the Brazilian production chain. These materials included information on the quality, health status and sustainability of the products. In addition, ABPA provided interested parties with contact details of Brazilian exporters. According to Dalmolin, the interest shown by Chinese stakeholders reinforces the strategic role of the initiative. This contributes to China’s food security and strengthens trade partnerships between the two countries.

Side events reinforce Brazil-China partnership

In parallel with the CIIE exhibition, ABPA President Ricardo Santin participated remotely in the 15th China International Meat Conference, a side event that brought together government authorities and leaders from the animal protein sector in China. His participation, therefore, highlighted the relevance of Brazil as a strategic trading partner for China, especially in the animal protein segment.

Finally, the China International Import Expo (CIIE) is organized by the Chinese government. This is the country's largest event focused on global suppliers from various sectors, including food, technology, healthcare and the automotive industry. ABPA's participation, with the support of ApexBrasil, reflects Brazil's commitment to promoting the quality and sustainability of national products. Thus, the event strengthens trade relations and opens up new opportunities in the competitive Chinese food market.
