Argentina's wheat production is confirmed at 15 million tons

The wheat harvest in Argentina came to an end approximately 10 days ago and total production was 15 million tons – obtained thanks to the highest productivity in the last five years, of 60.6 bags per hectare. The information comes from the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange, and was published by the Blog AgroSouth News.

 

The volume is 39% higher than the previous cycle, when the harvest was 10.8 million tons. When total production is compared to the average of the last five years, the number is 33% higher. Export taxes and marketing limits were eliminated in 2015 in the country.
