With fuel and green production on the rise, ICM, Impacto Energia and Impacto Bioenergia recently signed a contract to build a new corn ethanol production unit with dry milling in Bahia. The opening was considered for the first quarter of 2025, the agencies say.
A daily grinding capacity of 1,700 tons of corn is projected, equipped with ICM's proprietary technologies. A production of up to 260 million liters of anhydrous ethanol per year is expected. The biorefinery will also be able to manufacture up to 9 thousand tons of oil and 185 thousand tons of DDGS corn bran.

As reported by NovaCana, Impacto's CEO, Emilio Rietmann, stated: “We are excited to work with ICM, which we consider to be the best design standard for the corn-based ethanol process.” Currently, Impacto Bioenergia controls the Seresta plant, in Teotônio Vilela (AL), responsible for the sugar cane process.
