Stability in the pork market has lasted for more than thirty days, both on the farm and wholesale. On farms in São Paulo, the finished animal is priced at R$78.00/@. Wholesale carcasses are traded for R$6.00/kg.
Even though it is at the beginning of the month, sales have not improved and buyers continue to make their purchases on a limited basis so as not to accumulate stocks.
At the close of exports in October, the country shipped 53.3 thousand tons of fresh pork, a drop of 15.5% compared to the previous month. Despite the decline in the monthly comparison, compared to the same period last year, volume increased by 21.0%.
From January to October this year, the country shipped 38.8% more than in the same period in 2015.
