The Weekly Consumer Price Index (IPC-S) fell 0.02 percent in September compared to an increase of 0.13 percent in August, according to data released this Monday by Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). In the third four-week period of the month, the indicator had dropped 0.07 percent.
According to FGV, the main contribution to the September result came from the Food group, whose prices fell 0.48 percent, although the drop was weaker than the 0.72 percent in the third four-week period of the month.
