The Index of Prices Received by Agropecuária Paulista (IqPR) closed April 2021 with an increase of 1.09%. Both plant products (IqPR-V) and animals (IqPR-A) showed readjustments in their indices, with respective increases of 0.68% and 2.15%. In April 2021, 11 of the 16 products analyzed had price increases. The adjustments in corn (+9.07%) and pork (+7.24%) stood out. The biggest drops were seen in dwarf banana crops (-43.00%) and table tomatoes (-12.37%).

From April/2020 to April/2021, all indices showed positive adjustments. In this interval, the IqPR varied positively in 11 months, with an accumulated adjustment of 35.47%. Since the month of June/20, the peak moment in which the Brazilian population was affected by the COVID-19 virus, the increases in rates were progressively accentuated until the month of November/20.
It is worth noting that in the first four months of 2021, the IqPR adjustment reached 7.26%. In this 12-month period, the increase in products of animal origin (IqPR-A) reached 55.98%, while products of plant origin rose 28.21%. During this period of analysis, 15 survey products underwent adjustments. Corn (84.56%), chicken meat (83.67%) and soybeans (80.46%) were the crops that showed the biggest increases in the São Paulo countryside in the last 12 months.
