
Tuesday (18) starts with future prices of corn operating in the positive field of the Brazilian Stock Exchange (B3). In this sense, the main quotations fluctuated in the range between R$ 73.18 and R$ 80.79 at around 10 am (Brasília time).
Regarding contracts, the market quoted the March/25 maturity at R$ 80.79, with an increase of 0.49%. In addition, the May/25 contract was worth R$ 77.25, registering an increase of 0.44%. Finally, the July/25 maturity had a value of R$ 73.18, with a gain of 0.52%.
External market
Corn prices in the US began Tuesday with slight gains on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT), which returned from the holiday in the United States on the rise. At around 09:50 (Brasília time), futures contracts were recording moderate gains.
The market quoted the March/25 contract at US$ 4.97, up 0.75 points. The May/25 contract was worth US$ 5.09, up 1.00 points. July/25 was traded at US$ 5.12, up 1.00 points. The September/25 contract was worth US$ 4.75, up 0.50 points.
The behavior of corn prices in the US may influence prices in Brazil, as investors monitor the global market and the impacts of supply and demand.
