The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 4.50 cents in May/17 contracts on Monday (17.04), closing at US$ 3.665 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions on the CBOT also closed the session with devaluations of 4.25 and 4.75 points.
The day was one of liquidation of positions in the North American corn market, which caused losses in the main futures prices. Investors preferred to take profits, taking advantage of the appreciation achieved by the United States cereal in recent sessions.
