The price of soybeans on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded an increase of 3.00 cents in the January/16 contract on Thursday (03.11), reaching US$ 9.895 per bushel. The March/17 contract rose 2.75 cents per bushel, while the May/17 contract rose 2.75 cents per bushel.
After two sessions of declines, the North American soybean market recorded a day of gains in the main futures prices. The heated international demand for oilseed from the United States once again became a preponderant factor supporting commodity prices, with sales well above those recorded in the previous season.
