The projection for shipment in the period is 53.7% greater than the 4,294,259 tons of the same bulk loaded from October to December 2021.
“The difference is mainly in the volumes expected for corn shipments”, comments the Director of Operations at Portos do Paraná, Luiz Teixeira da Silva Júnior. According to him, the product has arrived in large volumes and the trend is that it will continue to do so until the end of the year.

The expectation is to load 2,609,000 tons of corn, 1,865,000 tons of soybean meal, 1,128,000 tons of soybeans (grain) and another 1 million tons of bulk sugar.
For comparison, from October to December last year, 124,604 tons of corn were loaded; 1,018,014 tons of soybean meal; 1,412,521 tons of soybeans; and 1,153,948 tons of bulk sugar.
The main destinations of corn exported through the Port of Paranaguá are Iran, Egypt and Japan. Soybean meal goes mainly to Holland, Germany and South Korea. The main destination countries for soybeans are China, South Korea and Iran. And sugar, Canada, Algeria and Iran.
