Paraguay could break its own soybean production record this year, according to information from local sources released by Blog AgroSouth News. The USDA and domestic projections projected 10.1 million tons – which would consolidate the neighboring country's position as the world's fourth soybean exporter.
However, the Paraguayan Ministry of Agriculture says that the volume of 11 million tons could be exceeded because the volume already harvested so far is 10.2 million tons and there will still be large batches of late dates. Yields this year are higher than the Brazilian average.
