An important tool for use in the dairy sector was developed by Milkline Comércio Importação e Exportação Ltda.: equipment to measure, collect and identify samples aimed at milk production. The purpose is to provide precision in measuring the liters collected and reliability, eradicating adulterations in the milk composition through the collection of reliable and identifiable samples. Co-owner Maria Lissette Lairihoy Silva reports that, in many countries, producers are paid for milk quality, bacterial count (microbes in milk) and somatic cell count (SCC), an indicator of the health of the cow's udder. “We believe that, in the near future, milk from Brazilian producers will be paid based on the same criteria”, he highlights.
Maria Lissette states that the development of the product is also a result of the need that was found to launch a control system that provides greater efficiency to measure and identify products in their primary production phase. With participation in Tecnova RS, the company carried out the project, which consists of an innovative sampling collection system (2 50ml bottles per producer) and with the sample identified by barcodes and sealed. The sample compartment is sealed, allowing only authorized people to open it.
The equipment also has GPS to obtain global geographic positioning and producer identification. The system will be managed by software that will save the data on the truck's hardware and transfer it in real time (via cell phone) to the cooperatives. The entire process will be carried out without any human interference, ensuring reliability.
