The supply of cattle improved, however, it was not enough for industries to put pressure on the market last Wednesday (22/5). In places where the price of arroba has been falling, as in Goiás, for example, in addition to the greater availability of cattle, the search for cattle has been calm, compared to other regions, which has resulted in devaluations.
On average across the thirty-two markets surveyed, the price of live cattle has remained stable since the beginning of the second half of May, a period normally with lower meat flow. The final spawning of the harvest occurring at a slower pace this year contributes to this scenario. Exports, which are at a good pace, are another point that has also limited the devaluation, especially in the second half of May. In the wholesale bone-in beef market, married cattle from castrated animals were quoted at R$10.00/kg, an increase of 0.8% since the beginning of the month and 7.3% in the annual comparison.
