To maintain support for small and medium-sized animal breeders and guarantee feed for their herds, the National Supply Company (Conab) will offer for sale another 50 thousand tons of corn grains, in bulk, next Thursday (07 ). The operations take place due to the prospect of an increase in corn exports, which could affect the supply of domestic demand, especially in the off-season.
Unlike the Over-the-Counter Sales Program (ProVB), which has a limited quantity per producer, the direct sale of corn carried out by Conab through an auction allows the participant to form stocks according to their needs, due to the greater quantity that can be acquired. With this, the creator increases his negotiation margin during the period of low supply and avoids being held hostage by the market, having to purchase the product at high prices.
The operation will take place through the Conab Electronic Marketing System (SEC). The corn to be sold is in Mato Grosso. To participate, interested parties must work in the poultry farming, pig farming, cattle farming, sheep farming, goat farming and fish farming segments. Participants must also be registered in the National Rural Producers Registry System (Sican).
