The National Supply Company (Conab) will allocate another 11.2 thousand tons of corn from public stocks for over-the-counter sales to small poultry and pig breeders who use the product in animal feed in several states. In an auction held this Monday (28), the Company contracted transport to remove the product, which is stored in Mato Grosso (MT).
The corn will be sent to Ceará (4,200 t), Piauí (2,000 t), Roraima (2,000 t), Espírito Santo (1,500 t), Goiás (979 t) and Acre (500 t). The product should start arriving in different regions from the second half of September.
The objective of the Over-the-Counter Sales Program is to allow farmers and small-scale agribusinesses access to Conab's public stocks, at prices compatible with those of local wholesale markets. Among the clients served are: poultry, pig, cattle, goat breeders, including micro-agribusinesses processing and feed production.
