European negotiators have presented their agricultural trade offers to Mercosur as part of negotiations for a trade pact they hope to conclude by the end of the year, officials from both sides said on Tuesday. Brazilian negotiator Ronaldo Costa Filho confirmed at a forum with business leaders that European offers for meat and ethanol imports had been made, paving the way for negotiations on two key products that had been generating an impasse in talks. He declined to elaborate on share sizes because the offers have just been made and are still subject to negotiations.
