The Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, and the delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), parliamentarians and agribusiness entrepreneurs traveled on Friday (21) for a mission to the Asian continent.
The first destination is South Korea. On Monday (24), minister Carlos Fávaro participates in a meeting at the country's Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (Mafra) and the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). , in Seoul. The next day, he meets with representatives from the Export-Import Bank of Korea. Still in South Korea, the minister participates in a business seminar.

Then, the delegation leaves for Japan. In the capital, Tokyo, one of the main actions is the debate on the health protocol regarding bird flu. Despite Brazil maintaining disease-free status in commercial birds, as recommended by the World Organization for Animal Health (WHO), the Japanese government decided to temporarily suspend imports of chicken meat from Espírito Santo and Santa Catarina.
There, Fávaro also participates in a business seminar on July 27th and meets with companies from different sectors. On Friday (28th), he meets with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Wellbeing (MHLW).
Afterwards, the mission heads to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Minister Carlos Fávaro meets with the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Still in Saudi Arabia, meetings will be held with investment funds. On July 31st, the delegation will head to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, also for a series of meetings with investment funds.
