The chicken market is already showing a slowdown in sales due to the start of the second half of the month. On farms in São Paulo, despite the market continuing to move sideways, with prices stable since the end of March at R$2.50/kg, there are already situations with payments below the reference.
At wholesale prices, prices fell in the last seven days, due to the slower pace of sales. Chicken carcasses went from R$3.55/kg to the current R$3.33/kg, a drop of 6.2% in the period. The expectation is that demand will remain weak in the short and medium term.
