Intermodal remains confirmed despite rumors of cancellation due to Coronavirus


6 days left until Intermodal South America 2020 and rumors circulated that the event would not take place due to recent events regarding the Coronavirus.

We would like to say that the event continues confirmed, and the Aboissa will be present.

Informa Markets Brasil, responsible for organizing the event, reaffirms its commitment to the health and well-being of all people involved.

The company reiterates that it has been constantly monitoring the situation regarding the new Coronavirus, which Covid-19, so that the event takes place safely, and which adopted the recommendations of the Ministry of Health.

We would like to share with you the effective actions that Informa Markets Brasil has been implementing to increase the health safety of exhibitors, visitors and suppliers during the event.

1st) SANITIZATION – One of the measures already taken by Informa Markets Brasil, and in line with the guidelines of public health bodies, was the acquisition of lots of 70% alcohol gel, which will be available to all participants of Intermodal, South America, at the entrances of the pavilion, in the restrooms, restaurants and at the service counters during all days of the event. 

2nd) SANITIZATION II – Informa Markets Brasil will increase the pavilion’s cleaning teams, to keep contact surfaces constantly sanitized. 

3rd) SERVICE TEAMS – The company is expanding the hiring of medical and outpatient teams that will be available to exhibitors and visitors in any eventuality during the event.

4th) TRAINING – Additionally, the organizer is training the direct and indirect service teams in accordance with the standards recommended by the Ministry of Health to serve and guide people during the days of the event.

5th) VISITATION – To date, no type of access restriction has been established due to country of origin, but the Informa Markets Brasil team is also monitoring the profile of accredited visitors to the fair and highlights that foreign visitation results in less than 5% of total number of visitors. Exhibitors from China, the country most affected by the virus, decided to postpone their participation until 2021.

6th) REALIZATION OF THE EVENT – The dates for Intermodal South America 2020 are maintained and Informa Markets Brasil will continue to monitor the situation, daily, with full attention to apply the necessary recommendations in accordance with the official indications of national and internationally as the disease progresses.
