Start of harvest puts pressure on and corn falls even more – Agrolink Analysis

The price of corn on the Chicago Grain Exchange recorded a drop of 7.75 cents in September/16 contracts on Tuesday (30.08), closing at US$ 3.04 per bushel. The other highlighted commodity positions closed the session with devaluations between 5.00 and 7.75 points.

The North American corn market suffered new heavy losses in the main futures prices, pressured by the start of the harvest in several parts of the Midwest of the United States. The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) maintained the classification of crops in “good or excellent condition” at 75%.
