According to the announcement, the agreement will ensure that the ethanol produced by these plants is sold to companies for use in blending with gasoline, in accordance with the official Ethanol Blended Petrol (EBP) program.
This is yet another demonstration of the Indian government's commitment to plans to expand the blend of 20% ethanol in gasoline and the use of pure ethanol in flex-fuel vehicles in the future.
