In the first week of July, Brazil exported, on average, 197.2 thousand tons of corn grain, according to the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex).
The volume increased by 173.3% compared to the daily average exported in June this year and was 270.7% higher than the amount shipped per day in July last year.
Regarding daily revenue, this grew 216.2% in the monthly comparison and 386.7% in the annual comparison.
The increase in volume and revenue from exports was driven by the rise in cereal prices on the international market.
In July, the average price per ton of corn exported by Brazil was US$$229.63, compared to US$$198.75 per ton exported in the previous month and US$$174.92 per ton exported in July 2018.
