The prices of anhydrous and hydrated ethanol rose again after three consecutive weeks of decline according to the Cepea/Esalq Indicator, from USP. The biggest increase occurred in hydrated ethanol, used in flex-fuel or originally alcohol-fueled cars, which rose by 5.08% traded, in the week of January 23rd to 27th, at R$ 2.6898 per liter, against R$ 2.5597 per liter the previous week . The last week of increase in the indicator occurred in the period from December 26th to 29th.

Anhydrous, used in the mixture with gasoline, rose 1.84% in the last week, trading at R$ 2.9910 per liter, against R$ 2.9370 per liter charged in the week of January 16th to 20th. The increase interrupts a three-week falling sequence for the indicator.
Paulínia Daily Indicator
The Paulínia Daily Indicator for hydrated ethanol registered its sixth consecutive increase last Friday (27). Biofuel was traded by the plants at R$ 2,868.00 per m³ against R$ 2,855.50 per m³ practiced on Thursday, an increase of 0.44% in the comparison. In the month, the indicator accumulated a loss of 3.40%.
