For CropLife Brasil (CLB), the invasions are absolutely incompatible with the resumption of economic growth in Brazil.

Some entities linked to the agricultural sector released notes commenting on the invasions that took place yesterday at the Palácio do Planalto, the Federal Supreme Court (STF) and the National Congress. According to the Brazil Climate, Forests and Agriculture Coalition, the movement formed by more than 300 representatives from companies, agribusiness, the financial sector, civil society and academia, vehemently repudiates the invasion and depredation.

“More than acts of vandalism, these actions represent an unacceptable affront to the Democratic Rule of Law. It is vital, therefore, that the planning and carrying out of the attacks are investigated and that those responsible and financiers are identified and punished to the fullest extent of the law. The Brazil Coalition hopes that the defense of democracy remains a basic principle for the Three Powers and our society”, said the note.

Furthermore, the Association of Soy and Corn Producers of Mato Grosso (Aprosoja-MT) repudiated the acts and criticized accusations that agribusiness had participated. “Statements that attribute participation in the attacks to the sector are unreasonable and do not portray the real importance of Brazilian agriculture for the country. We are against land grabbing and invasion of private property, illegal deforestation and the unrestricted use of pesticides on crops. We value democracy and are against any acts that cause harm to Brazil, and we oppose any conclusions that do not represent the truth”, he indicates.

The Brazilian Chemical Industry Association (Abiquim) said that “Brazil is experiencing a delicate moment in which it needs unity to combat the nation's true enemy: poverty, which encompasses hunger and precarious health, education and housing conditions. . The chemical industry daily reaffirms its commitment to Brazil, with the creation of wealth and the production of inputs, raw materials and solutions used by all other industrial segments. We are against acts that attack the Brazilian constitution, peace and legal order”, he says.

For CropLife Brasil (CLB), the invasions are absolutely incompatible with the resumption of economic growth in Brazil. “The agribusiness represented by CLB is law-abiding, dedicated producer of safe and healthy food, protector of Brazil's biomes, developer of technologies that contribute to the mitigation of climate change, generator of jobs and a contributor to the country's economy”, concludes.
