On a day of widespread declines for commodities, soybean futures stand out on the Chicago Stock Exchange and operate in a positive field. Around 8:25 am (Brasília time), prices registered small gains of 2.75 to 4 points in the main maturities, taking May to US$ 15.31 and July to US$ 15.21 per bushel. Bran and oil also rise timidly on the CBOT.

The market keeps its attention on the climate in South America, especially the drought in Argentina. Planting there has been completed and, according to the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange, with the smallest area sown with the oilseed since the 2006/07 harvest due to the drought.
The weather conditions for the harvest in Brazil and the behavior of demand are also on traders' radar, especially due to the Brazilian delay, which has stimulated more intense purchases in the USA.
