With the gradual recovery of the economy, the demand for beef tallow for biodiesel production continues to increase. The demand for the production of hygiene products is also a factor to be considered. These factors explain the firmness of the market. According to a survey by Scot Consultoria, in Central Brazil, the product is quoted at R$4.56/kg, tax-free, an increase of 5.1% in the weekly comparison and 17.8% in August.
In Rio Grande do Sul, the product is priced, on average, at R$4.65/kg, under the same conditions. Appreciation of 3.5% in the same period. For the short term, the expectation is that limited supply and heated demand will keep prices high in the tallow market.
