Weak demand maintains downward pressure on the green leather market. In Central Brazil, according to a survey by Scot Consultoria, first-rate green leather is priced, on average, at R$2.30/kg, without tax.
In Rio Grande do Sul, common green leather is priced at R$2.45/kg. In the state, supply adjusted to demand has kept prices stable since the beginning of April. For the short and medium term, the outlook is that supply greater than demand will keep the market under pressure.
