Global Agribusiness Forum and Global Agribusiness Festival, in June, bring together international speakers, technology, gastronomy and music at Allianz Parque

DATAGRO e XP trazem o campo a São Paulo e mostram toda a força do agro

São Paulo will become the world capital of agriculture on the 27th and 28th of June this year, when the Global Agribusiness Forum (GAF) and the Global Agribusiness Festival (GAFFFF), at Allianz Parque. Organized by the consultancy DATAGRO, and presented by XP, the mega event will be an expanded version of the traditional GAF, which has been held every two years since 2012.

“GAF is reserved for guests and has the mission of anticipating trends, in order to bring the world's leading minds in agriculture and climate issues to Brazil. The partnership with XP, with the creation of the Festival, will allow us to expand this perspective on agriculture and, in fact, bring people who live in cities closer to life in the countryside”, explains Plinio Nastari, president of DATAGRO.

“XP is one of the biggest players in the financial market in agribusiness and partnering with DATAGRO to present the GAFFFF means taking our operations in the sector to another level. In its first festival format, we want to expand the event's audience, showing that agriculture permeates all spheres of our lives”, says Pedro Freitas, head of agribusiness at XP's investment bank.

Diversified, the GAFFFF program covers content, technological news for farmers, gastronomy and culture, with shows by big names in music, such as Jorge and Mateus, who will close the program on each of the two days of the event. 30 thousand people are expected per day.

“With a rich biodiversity, the cleanest energy matrix in the world and a high-tech agribusiness, Brazil is an agro-environmental powerhouse. In just a few years, we went from being an importer to the largest global food exporter, with sustainability. We have a lot of beautiful things to show and that is the purpose of GAFFFF – to connect the countryside with the city and convey the message that it is possible to produce and preserve at the same time”, says Luiz Felipe Nastari, director of Datagro.

Climate change, food security, food waste, sustainability, new technologies, access to markets, financing, ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) and the future of Brazilian and global agriculture are some of the topics that will be addressed at the forum and fair sector.

Among the speakers, the presence of Janusz Wojciechowski, Commissioner for Agriculture of the European Commission, in Brussels, André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, Ambassador and Secretary of Climate, Energy and Environment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Graça Machel, former First Lady of South Africa, Dr. Montserrat Arroyo-Kuribreña, Director for international standards and science at the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH), Silvia Massruhá, President of Embrapa, Ricardo Santin, president of the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA) and Sergio Bortolozzo, president of the Brazilian Rural Society (SRB).

Exhibitors

In the tech and academia space, for example, 100 agtechs and 10 universities will present innovations for food production. There will also be agricultural equipment and implements, inputs, services and initiatives focused on ESG.

Gastronomy

The GAFFFF menu also features gastronomy, from farm to table, with renowned national and foreign chefs. There will also be a barbecue festival.

Topics such as combating hunger and food waste will be key messages in this pillar of the event.

“We want to recover this contact between the countryside and the city, pierce the agro bubble and show urban society the true face of Brazilian agribusiness, as well as highlighting the importance of integrating family and business agriculture”, says Guilherme Nastari, director of DATEGRO.
