After 98 days, Petrobras announced a review of the price of gasoline in refineries, increasing by 5.2%, or R$ 0.20/liter, to R$ 4.0957/liter in Paulínia (SP), in addition to raising the average price of diesel at 14.2%, or R$ 0.70/liter, for R$ 5.6585/liter.

The biggest adjustment in the price of diesel can be explained by concerns about shortages in the second half of the year, the period in which soybean planting begins in Brazil – if prices remained out of line for longer, fuel importing companies would not be able to to bring ships with diesel in a timely manner to meet domestic demand from July/August onwards.
