Russia said on Tuesday that the window to extend the Black Sea grains deal with Ukraine is shrinking. The Kremlin has reinforced that it does not intend to extend the measure if its demands are not met.
Dmitry Peskov, Russian spokesman, once again stated that the Eurasian country's interests are not being implemented. “Russia’s position is well known – the agreement has been extended for two months. The terms that concern Russia’s agricultural sector are not being fulfilled.”

Today, a Ukrainian source told Reuters that tomorrow (3) there will be a round of negotiations between the countries. However, the Eurasian country did not confirm. According to Peskov, “contacts continue, but so far they have not brought any results.”
Among other demands, Russia wants its state agricultural bank, Rosselkhozbank, to be reconnected to the SWIFT international financial messaging system and for the Togliatti-Odessa ammonia pipeline to be restarted.
The sanctions established by the West did not affect the Russian agricultural sector. On the other hand, the Kremlin claims that its exports have been hit, as well as other restrictions related to logistics and insurance.
