The National Supply Company (Conab) released its weekly monitoring of Brazilian crops and updated the development stage of first and second harvest corn crops in Brazil.
Looking at the summer harvest, Conab technicians point out that 83.2% of the total has already been harvested, with highlights for São Paulo (100%), Minas Gerais (99.5%), Paraná (99%), Santa Catarina (98%), Goiás (96.6%), Rio Grande do Sul (95%), Bahia (73%), Maranhão (40%) and Piauí (38%). Last week the harvest of the first crop was at 81.8%, but it was already 86.7% in the same period of the previous harvest.

In addition to the 83.2% of harvested crops, Conab points out that 16.1% are already maturing and only 0.7% are still in grain filling.
As for the second Brazilian harvest, the company indicates that the harvest has progressed little, going from 0.4% of crops already removed from the field last week, to 0.7% of the total. In the same period last year, activities were already at 3%.
So far, the remaining corn crops are divided into 34.3% already maturing, 48.3% in grain filling, 11.7% in flowering and 5% still in vegetative development.
