The July/23 traded at US$ 6.64, down 1.75 points and the September/23 traded at US$ 6.07 per bushel, down 2.25 points.

Accompanying the wheat market, corn futures trading is retreating in the face of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine, which are threatening to reduce supply from the Black Sea region, as reported by Reuters International.

"Increased concerns about the Black Sea region and the impact on the region's exports and production due to the escalation of tensions between Russia and Ukraine at the end of last week are weighing on markets," Hightower said in a report.

According to information from Reuters International, traders of corn and soybeans are monitoring the forecasts of rain in Argentina in the coming days.

Reuters International also pointed out that agents observe the weather conditions in Brazil, with heavy rains threatening to delay the harvest and postpone the sowing of the corn crop and increasing the risks for the crop.

Reflecting the appreciation of prices in the domestic market, in addition to the delay in sowing of the 2nd corn crop and the reduction in the supply of summer corn, cereal futures accumulated valuations above 11TP3Q at the last closing date, as pointed out by Agrifatto Consultoria.

In the physical corn market, corn ended the previous week being traded at an average of R$ 86.00/sc in Campinas/SP.
