The harvest of the 2022/23 soybean harvest arrived on Thursday (19) at 1.8% of the cultivated area in Brazil, tripling in relation to the 0.6% of the previous week. Even so, there is still a delay compared to the 4.7% in the same period last year.
In addition to a slight improvement in the pace in Mato Grosso, where the week was marked by slightly more consistent sunshine, harvesters began to take to the field in other important states, notably Bahia and Goiás.

There is also already a harvest in Paraná, but the work is still extremely localized, as there is little soybean ready due to the lengthening of the crop cycle.
On the 12th, AgRural sent customers a new review of its soybean production estimate for the 2022/23 harvest in Brazil. The projection fell 700 thousand tons compared to December, to 152.9 million tons, due to a cut of 1.1 million tons in Rio Grande do Sul and specific negative adjustments in Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul, which were partially offset by small increases in other states.
