China had a large summer harvest in 2021, with an increase of 2.1% in total production, the National Department of Statistics (NBS) reported this Wednesday (15), says a note from the “Xinhua” agency.

Summer grain production totaled 145.8 million tonnes, an increase of 2.97 million tonnes from last year, the DNE said.
Wheat production harvested this summer totaled 134.3 million tons, 2% more than in 2020.
Summer grain planting area reversed from a declining trend, recording growth, while yield per unit also increased, according to the DNE.
