According to a survey by Scot Consultoria, beef prices remained stable at retail in São Paulo, in a weekly comparison. In Minas Gerais there was an increase of 0.4% in the same period, while in Paraná and Rio de Janeiro prices fell, on average, 0.6% and 0.2%, respectively.
Retailers have been regulating purchases and replenishing stocks in order to adapt to the current market. Butchers and supermarkets in São Paulo have reduced prices by 1.4% since the beginning of last June. And then comes the second half of the month, when purchasing power naturally becomes even lower.
