Cooperalfa celebrated 50 years with an event focused on planning. The 2017 Alfa Demonstration Field, which will showcase the Cooperative's plans for the next five decades, is expected to receive more than 12,000 visitors between January 17th and 19th in Chapecó and from February 7th to 9th in Bela Vista do Toldo. The opening of the CDA will take place this Tuesday, 17th, at 1:15 pm, and will be attended by the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Fisheries, Moacir Sopelsa.
During the three-day event, visitors will be able to see the latest in agricultural technologies, mainly equipment and plant genetics. According to the organizers, anyone who passes through the CDA will find attractions in all of the cooperative's activities, with shelves focused on seeds, dairy production, pig farming and poultry farming.
The event coordinator, agronomist Alexandre Ramos, explains that, with the CDA, Cooperalfa wants to provide information and technologies that serve as a basis for the sustainability of its membership. “New things emerge all the time and we need to be prepared to assimilate new production formats.”
Among the highlights of the CDA is the presentation of a helicopter for applying fertilizers, the use of drones to identify species in crops through images, and a prototype that reads the soil in 30 seconds, developed by Embrapa Solos do RJ.
CDA Chapecó Programming
Official Opening – January 17th from 1:15 pm to 3:00 pm
Location – Next to the Cooperalfa Bulk Silo on the Tomazelli – Chapecó Line;
Technical Lectures – 8:30 am to 12:00 pm, focused on the interests of each associated family. The itinerary is repeated over the three days of CDA;
Lunch – 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, in the pavilion located behind Indústria NUTRISOJA (heading East of CDA);
Free visit to the stands of exhibiting companies – 1:30 pm to 6:00 pm, on three days.
Superalfa Interactive Kitchen – 2pm to 4pm (in the reception area)
Closing of activities – 6 pm
