This Thursday (5), the Brazilian company BSBIOS announced the acquisition of the La Paloma Industrial Complex, made up of a biodiesel factory and a soybean processing plant in Paraguay.
The purchase of BSBIOS reaffirms the company's position to diversify investments, including internationalization. The value of the operation was not disclosed.

Production capacity
The complex has the capacity to produce 7 million liters of biodiesel per year and can crush 50 thousand tons of soybeans annually, producing around 38 thousand tons of bran, soy hulls and vegetable oil.
Furthermore, the unit has storage of grains and soybean meal, which will allow trading of other grains.
The plant is located in the Department of Canindeyú, which is the 3rd largest soybean producer in Paraguay, with an area of around 680 thousand hectares.
BSBIOS already operates commercially in Paraguay, through the investment project in the Omega Green advanced biofuels biorefinery.
