Negotiations for the approval of the International Health Certificate began in 2017.
Brazil has opened another market for agricultural products and marks the 18th opening of a product for Brazilian agribusiness. This time, the export will be of by-products of animal origin (protein meal, blood and fats from birds, pigs and cattle) for animal feed to South Africa.

According to the Secretariat of Commerce and International Relations, negotiations for the approval of the International Health Certificate began in 2017 and were concluded this Friday (5).
For the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Fávaro, exports are the result of the excellent work that the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has been developing over the years. “The increase in exports and the expansion of the portfolio of Brazilian products being exported around the world is unquestionable. The result of a situation that greatly favors our very efficient, very competent animal and plant defense system, which guarantees the quality of our products”, he celebrated.
In total, Brazil already has 18 open markets for Brazilian products: cotton for Egypt; live cattle for Algeria; intestinal mucosa, fertile eggs and day-old birds for Chile; buffalo semen to Panama; beef gelatin for Malaysia; pork for direct sale in natura, beef, poultry giblets and skin and processed poultry meat for Mexico; poultry meat for French Polynesia; poultry and pork meal to China; fertile eggs and day-old birds and bovine and buffalo embryos for Angola; frozen equine embryos and animal feed for Argentina; and animal by-products for animal feed for South Africa.
