Brazil – São Paulo: Soybean crushing margin declines in September compared to August

The crushing margin of the soybean industries (Brazil-São Paulo) registered R$ 554.87/ton in September (in 20%). The number points to a decrease of 17.6% compared to R$ 673.34/t in the previous month, according to data from DATAGRO.

In the same period last year, the crushing margin registered R$ 374.99/t.

On an annual average, to date, 2022 records R$ 696.80/t compared to R$ 536.59/t for the whole of 2021.

The average crushing margin using soybean quotes on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) registered US$ 123.67/ton last month (at 23%), compared to US$ 121.67/t in August and US$ 60.89/t in September 2021.
