For John Deere, the trend is for results to be similar to those recorded in 2015. Tractors and harvesters are the most sought after products.
“This year we see a recovery in business and we believe that in the next two years we will have even better results”, comments John Deere regional sales manager, Tangleder Lambrecht.
Increasing the diet of dairy cows should be a constant concern for the producer. Studies demonstrate improvements in the health and production of animals when their diet undergoes “fine adjustment”, with the use of new technologies, including: organic minerals, protected amino acids and specific vitamins. Its use provides the rumen with a more balanced and favorable environment for the development of the rumen microbiota, allowing animals with good genetics to express their full potential.
Biotin is a water-soluble vitamin from the B complex, also called vitamin H. It acts as an enzymatic cofactor in several metabolic reactions such as: cellular respiration, lipogenesis, gluconeogenesis, amino acid metabolism and is also linked, through its dependent enzymes, to metabolism of propionate, which is the energy source for milk production.
Diets with a high inclusion of concentrates proportionally reduce biotin supplementation, since grains have a low concentration of this vitamin and the more acidic rumen environment also makes its synthesis difficult. Therefore, it is essential to supplement high-production animals with biotin.
One of the studies evaluating biotin supplementation was carried out by Zimmerly and Weiss in 2011. Among the results obtained, the one that caught the most attention, in a tested group of 45 animals, was the increase of up to 7% in milk production.
Its supplementation is also very important for the synthesis of keratin, a structural protein of the hoof epidermis, that is, it is an essential factor for the intracellular cementing substance, making the connection between the keratin sheets of the hoof (Muling et al 1999).
With these results and the evidence of its benefits, biotin has been widely used to supplement dairy cows' diets, providing greater health to the animals' hooves, providing longevity and increased production.
To meet this need, QUIMTIA S/A launched NUVILEITE PREMIUM MB. Mineral vitamin core, formulated with high-tech ingredients to meet the demands and constant challenges of high-production dairy cows. Among the main ingredients we can mention: biotin, organic zinc, ruminal buffer and ionophore.
