The lack of rain increased the percentage of wheat crops in water deficit in Argentina. According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, 52% of crops are in a situation of regular drought. Last week it was 43%. In the same period last year, 62% in the area was in this situation. The surface totals 6.5 million hectares.
Crops are divided into excellent or good (32%), normal (40%), regular or bad (28%). Last week, they were 37%, 39% and 24% respectively. In the same period last year, 18%, 44% and 38%.
