In the latest update from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange (BCBA), crucial information was released about the performance of agricultural crops in Argentina. The data covers soybeans, corn, sunflower and sorghum, providing a detailed view of the country's agricultural scenario.
With regard to soybeans, the season began with the first soybean harvest, with the first areas being incorporated into both production centers. Initial yields, especially in the North Nucleus, indicate an average of approximately 37 bags per hectare, promising a solid start to the harvest. Furthermore, the growing condition of second-rate soybeans is predominantly classified as Normal/Buena, covering around 80% of the planted area.
For the corn Argentine, harvest progress continues as expected, with approximately 5.7% of the national area already harvested. Early plantings in the core zone show average weekly yields of around 102 bags per hectare, confirming previously established forecasts.
The harvest of sunflower in the country it achieved coverage of around 75% of the suitable area, with a significant interweekly increase of 15.8 percentage points. The average yield per hectare is around 20.2 bags, maintaining the production projection at 3.6 million tons.
As for sorghum, around 14.3% of the harvest has already been completed, presenting an average yield of approximately 48.7 bags per hectare. Yield expectations in the main producing regions are encouraging, suggesting promising performance for this crop.
